I am a Colombian jeweler, originally from Pasto, a city that sits high in the Andean mountains in southwest Colombia, alongside an active volcano. Growing up in this dynamic environment, alert to a volatile landscape, fed my imagination and my interest in organic forms, and inspired me to study industrial design.
Early in my career, I took a silversmithing course – and jewelry became my passion and obsession. My experience began a long journey of exploration of materials, forms, and techniques – a journey based on the search for a unique aesthetic, my own distinct, unmistakable mark. Eventually, my work started to focus on the use of precious metals: gold, silver, platinum. I mix traditional with modern techniques to transform these metals into expressions of joy. My aim is for my jewelry to embody a celebration of life, to express and reflect emotion.
